Customer Assistant - In Store Bakery - Eden High Wycombe

Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Bakery section, where you\'ll become a champion of our delicious baked goods. We\'re seeking passionate individuals with a love for baking and a deep understanding of bakery products to deliver fresh perspectives every day. You\'ll be a brand ambassador who\'s ready to recommend our bakery products and deliver remarkable service so customers feel valued every time they shop with us.

Being digitally confident is essential. You\'ll use our digital tools, such as the Sparks App, to enhance the customer experience and ensure they get the products they want when they need them.

Efficiency and effectiveness are key; you\'ll maintain high standards in food safety and hygiene while supporting a great inclusive store environment. Flexibility is vital, and you should be confident to work across various areas of the store as needs change.

Working Pattern
  • Week 1: Sunday 08:00-17:00; Monday 14:00-18:00; Saturday 06:00-15:00
  • Week 2: Sunday 08:00-17:00; Monday 14:00-18:00; Wednesday 06:00-15:00

Purpose

To deliver a great shopping experience for our customers, we are looking for colleagues who put customers before tasks every time whilst championing and promoting our brilliant products. As the face of the business, you will be the voice of our customers helping us to continually improve.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve our customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service points
  • Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring that our shelves are always stocked with product
  • Monitor and deliver on the daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service throughout their visit to store
  • Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services
  • We\'ll give you the training to utilise all digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer every time
