Customer Account Manager

- Work hours: Office-based Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm / 9:00am - 5:30pm / Half Day Friday

Our client is looking for a proactive Customer Account Manager to support their allocated customer base, providing accurate price quotations and delivering excellent customer service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is keen to grow business relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist customers directly through phone, fax, and email to support their requirements.
- Provide timely and accurate price quotations; research and contact suppliers as needed.
- Follow up on customer quotes and convert them into orders.
- Process customer orders and manage the shipment process to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.
- Educate new customers on tooling and the usage of materials.
- Develop professional relationships with customer contacts and sales representatives, acting as the company's representative to communicate policies, product information, and customer solutions.
- Proactively communicate with customers and suppliers, providing immediate assistance to telephone enquiries and timely responses to customer emails.
- Maintain professional knowledge of company products, services, and marketing materials.
- Identify new business opportunities with existing customers to support business growth.
- Re-engage inactive customers by analysing past orders and initiating contact to generate return business.
- Comply with the sales system, process, and maintenance of the contact database.
- Adhere to the Quality Manual and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales or account management is desirable - ideally within manufacturing or aerospace - but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport.
- Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
