We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and skilled Curriculum Area Manager for Electrical and Carpentry at Eastleigh College. The information below provides more detail about the role.

Purpose
  • To assist the Curriculum Director in the management and review of the curriculum in accordance with College policies.
  • To undertake a teaching programme and all aspects of the teaching and learning process (equating to 350 taught hours per annum).
  • To act as a Course Leader for designated course(s).
  • To participate in liaison activities associated with the programme area and those relating to the College provision.
  • Develop and maintain professional competence in the post and in other duties performed on behalf of the Curriculum of the College.
  • Performance and People Management.
Skills / Experience
  • Experience in leading teams.
  • Experience in teaching the relevant subject area.
  • Excellent knowledge of recent initiatives in curriculum development and design.
Qualifications
  • Grade C (or above) or equivalent English and Maths.
  • Level 3 qualification in the relevant area of expertise (Electrical & Carpentry).
  • Level 5 Teaching qualification.
  • Relevant degree and/or appropriate level of professional qualifications.
