Job description

Overview

The Lead Superintendent will assume day‑to‑day organisation of staff and resources in CT imaging across the trust and support the site modality CT superintendents in developing and managing the growing demand for CT imaging.

They will provide leadership and direct line management to the site modality CT Superintendent, radiographers and advanced practitioners and support the Head of Radiology Service in planning the strategic development of CT imaging across the trust. The lead superintendent will work closely with all stakeholders to meet the demands of CT service across all Trust sites.

Fixed Term – 12 months. The role offers an excellent opportunity for a radiographer with clinical expertise in CT imaging to develop managerial and leadership skills whilst maintaining a clinical practice in cross‑sectional imaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for the CT modality site lead superintendents to ensure all areas maintain high standards of clinical care for patients.
• Maximise throughput and efficiency of CT services.
• Manage staff rotation into CT to motivate learning and development.
• Work closely with the Modality Site Superintendent for MRI and other stakeholders.
• Ensure a strong organisational link across Epsom General Hospital and St Helier Hospital.

• Experience in managing CT imaging across multiple sites is desirable.
