Job description
Overview

This is an opportunity for anyone who wishes to join our large and friendly team. We expect the post holder to already possess excellent patient care skills and be ready and willing to learn the complex modality of CT whilst continuously learning and supporting our team.

This vacancy will allow the successful candidates to work at all of our UHDB (University Hospitals of Derby and Burton) sites. This post will be based at the Queens Hospital Burton Site and include rotation to some / all of our CDC Sites, including Sir Robert Peel at Tamworth, Ilkeston Community Hospital and Florence Nightingale Community Hospital. We provide CT scans using state of the art GE CT scanners covering a wide range of diagnostic examinations including CTCs and Cardiac. The post holder will join our large and friendly team, and quickly become an integral part of our expanding service. The CT services are operational 7 days a week. The post holder will be expected to take part in out-of-hours work including on-call.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic CT imaging across multiple sites on a rotation basis, including CTCs and Cardiac scanning.
  • Work within the CT department which operates 7 days a week and participate in out-of-hours work including on-call as required.
  • Join and contribute to a large, friendly team and support service growth.
  • Be adaptable to working across UHDB sites (Queen's Hospital Burton, Sir Robert Peel Tamworth, Ilkeston Community Hospital, Florence Nightingale Community Hospital).
  • Engage in continuous professional development and learning related to CT imaging.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Band 6 level (as indicated in the job listing).
  • Excellent patient care skills and willingness to learn and support the CT modality and team.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and with rotating duties, including out-of-hours work.
