A leading NHS organization in Pontypool seeks a motivated Band 2 Theatre Assistant/Health Care Support Worker. In this role, you will support clinical staff in providing pre and post-operative patient care. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care and previous experience as a Health Care Support Worker. The position offers training opportunities and a supportive work environment.
The Pain Team is looking for a new member to join our team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 2 Theatre Assistant/ Health Care Support Worker to join our team at County Hospital.
The role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience supporting team members within the surgical setting, assisting the qualified members of staff in providing safe pre and post operative care for patients by undertaking duties such as performing and recording accurate observations, assisting patients in the preparation for theatre, escorting patients to theatre, caring and treating patients post operatively and maintaining a clean, tidy and appropriately stocked ward area. Appropriate training will be offered to the successful candidate in order to provide good quality individualised care. Staff will be expected to support other sites within the health board if required. Therefore, the successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility within their service. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
