Clearance: BPSS

Location: Office 2 days / week minimum - 40% onsite as a minimum. Various locations across England and Wales available.

Crown Prosecutors – 13834
Essential
  • Be a qualified lawyer or solicitor
  • Do not need a criminal background – any litigation background fine
  • Criminal training given – 17 weeks on job
Technical skills
  • You must have a Law Degree or Common Professional Examination/Graduate Diploma in Law.
  • You must have completed a Legal Practice Course, Solicitors Qualifying Exam or Bar Vocational Course/Bar Professional Training Course and the relevant pupillage / training contract.
  • You must be a qualified Barrister or Solicitor.
  • You must demonstrate motivation.
  • You must demonstrate the appropriate level of legal Intellect.
Application and interview focus
  1. A demonstrable interest in criminal prosecution and public service.
  2. A strong focus on continuous learning and the ability to apply knowledge of criminal law gained from study and experience.
Legal abilities and aptitude
  • Knowledge and understanding of the key concepts and principles of criminal law
