Bloomfield Installations designs, installs and supports crop storage and grain drying solutions that sit at the heart of modern farming. We are looking for an experienced Crop Storage Engineering Manager to lead our Crop Storage department and help shape its future. This is a key leadership role offering real autonomy and variety. You'll take ownership of projects from planning through to completion, lead and develop a skilled engineering team, and work closely with customers to deliver high-quality, reliable storage and drying systems. The role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys combining technical expertise, people leadership and commercial responsibility, and who wants to make a tangible impact within a well-established agricultural business.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the Crop Storage engineering team to ensure efficient, high-quality project delivery
• Planning, overseeing and commissioning new crop storage and grain drying installations
• Managing servicing, maintenance and breakdown support for existing grain storage systems
• Overseeing fabrication, repairs and refurbishment of grain handling and drying equipment
• Acting as the main point of contact for customers, building strong and trusted long-term relationships
• Managing supplier relationships to secure quality equipment and materials
• Promoting the services of the Crop Storage department and identifying opportunities for new business
• Supporting recruitment, training and development of engineers and technicians
• Managing departmental budgets and ensuring cost-effective, profitable operations
• Tracking project timelines, coordinating workloads and ensuring deadlines are met
• Overseeing the preparation and submission of accurate customer invoices in coordination with the finance team

Qualifications

• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, company policies and industry standards
• Previous experience in agricultural engineering, crop storage systems or a closely related field
• Proven leadership and people management experience
• Strong project management skills, including budget and cost control
• Knowledge of building, construction and fabrication processes
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Experience in business development or sales within the agricultural sector
• Familiarity with diesel and gas-fired grain drying equipment
