Job title: Crime and Dispute Resolution Solicitor
Location: Primarily Remote with occasional travel to Reading
Salary: £45,000-£60,000

A leading railway operator with a strong presence across the Southeast and Southwest is seeking a solicitor with solid experience in regulatory or criminal law to join their legal team on a six-month contract. This is a rare opportunity to step into a corporate-facing role while continuing to engage your courtroom expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the company in Magistrates\' Court proceedings (typically three times a month), including presenting, reading, and managing cases
  • Advise on fraud, bylaw enforcement, and wider regulatory matters
  • Collaborate with in-house legal and operational teams to deliver strategic legal support
  • Contribute to the development of internal legal processes and compliance frameworks
