About the role

Credit Controller Finance and Accounts Team

As the Credit Controller within the commercial practice you will be supporting the Credit Control Manager with ledger management through calls, emails and meetings with various stakeholders. You will manage your own ledger and have responsibility (alongside the Credit Control Team) for the Credit Control Mailboxes and associated tasks in order to achieve monthly KPIs.

Core Responsibilities
  • Downloading weekly debtors report into Excel in order to manage
  • Contacting clients to confirm payment of invoices via telephone & e‑mail
  • Interact with Consultants for escalation of issues (Must have excellent communication skills & ability to speak to people on all levels)
  • Engage in meetings confidently with various stakeholders such as EAs, Consultants and Heads of Practice as required
  • Interact with support staff to educate them on processes and assist with reviewing debtors on a regular basis
  • Implement our credit policy at all times and revert to the Credit Manager for any issues or pushback received
  • Utilise finance packages to ensure accuracy of data
  • Investigation into queries / payment issues using various resources
  • Escalation of queries / client issues to manager where required
  • Keep accurate notes of conversations held with clients / consultants
  • Set follow up dates for diary to review account as necessary
About you
  • Minimum 2‑years experience in a Credit Control role
  • Good Excel skills including the ability to analyse data, run pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Strong work ethic
  • An ability to problem‑solve and rely on experience where required with regards to best practice and query management
  • Build and maintain key relationships both internally and externally
