A leading educational staffing agency is seeking a Creative/Artistic Youth Worker for a special educational needs school in Ongar. This role involves delivering therapeutic activities and supporting children with complex needs. Ideal candidates will have a background in arts or therapy and experience with young people facing challenges. The position is full-time and term-time only, allowing for meaningful engagement with students.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a thriving SEND school in Ongar, looking for a passionate and imaginative individual with a strong creative or arts-based background to join their team.

This role is ideal for someone with experience or a background in the creative arts, therapy, drama or sensory-based work. You’ll be working closely with children who have complex needs including ASD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, and other individual learning requirements.
You will support both 1:1 and small group sessions, using creative methods to help pupils develop confidence, regulate emotions, and engage in meaningful learning. All pupils have an EHCP, and you’ll be provided with clear guidance to ensure continuity and consistency in your support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
