Stafflex Education is recruiting dynamic Cover Supervisors to work across primary schools in Huddersfield and the surrounding areas now through to the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, recent graduates, sports coaches, youth workers, or aspiring teachers who are looking to gain valuable experience in education.

Your Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom when teachers are absent. You will maintain order, manage student behaviour, and ensure pupils stay engaged with pre‑set lesson plans. While no planning or marking is required, your ability to lead a classroom and keep students focused is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes across a variety of subjects during teacher absences.
• Ensure students remain on task and follow the school's behaviour policies.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and respond to any disruptions.
• Report back to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour incidents.
• Adapt confidently to different school settings and expectations.

Who We're Looking For

• Experience working with young people (in a school, youth, coaching, or similar setting).
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Resilient, adaptable, and confident in front of a classroom.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting student development.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
