A community school in Stockton is looking for a Cover Supervisor to supervise students during teacher absences and assist with classroom preparation. Hours of Work: 32.5 Hours Per Week, Term Time Plus 5 Days
Salary (Actual): £20,545 - £21,498
Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth is a community school in the heart of Stockton. It is part of OGAT, a Multi Academy Trust in the north of England – and we are looking for an outstanding candidate to help us when staff are not available.
As a Cover Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising students during short term teacher absences and assist in preparing the learning environment and the materials required. You will cover lessons of any subject using the cover work set by the teacher, set high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
The successful candidate may also be responsible for organising the daily cover rota for absent staff and contacting teaching supply agencies to arrange supply staff. In periods where cover is not required you will support in the classroom as directed.
The post would ideally suit an individual considering a teaching career, we can offer support with teacher training through our dedicated training provider.
You must possess good communication and listening skills and ensure that respect and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
