Court of Protection Solicitor
Gloucester

We’re working with a well established legal practice who are seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor / Legal Executive to join their growing Court of Protection team. This Court of Protection role offers the chance to work on meaningful, complex cases that directly impact the lives of vulnerable clients. This Court of Protection role could be based from Gloucester or Bristol.

You’ll handle a varied Court of Protection caseload across property and financial affairs deputyships, statutory wills, personal injury trusts, tax/estate matters, and welfare applications. Expect lots of contact with clients, their families, and care teams by building trusted relationships and helping them navigate sensitive, life-changing issues.

What you’ll be doing:

• Running and supporting a range of Court of Protection matters

• Assisting senior lawyers on substantial and complex cases

• Supervising junior colleagues where needed

• Managing client finances and lifestyle arrangements with care and precision

• Contributing to business development and representing the team externally

• Ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards

What we’re looking for:

• Atleast 2 years' Court of Protection experience as a Solicitor or FCILEx. This could be as part of a wider private client caseload.

• Strong technical knowledge and case management skills

• Excellent communicator with empathy for vulnerable clients
