Job summary

A national distributor of screws in Essex is seeking a temporary Counterbalance Forklift Driver. This dual-role position involves operating a forklift and making multi-drop deliveries across Essex and London. Ideal candidates will have RTITB accreditation and strong customer service skills. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Overview

On behalf of our client, a leading national distributor of screws, we are recruiting for a temporary Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their busy warehouse team in Essex.

This is a dual-role position where you will primarily work within the Goods-In & Stock Control teams operating a Counterbalance forklift, while also stepping in as a Van Driver for multi-drop deliveries across Essex, East London, South West London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Multi-drop deliveries to trade customers
  • Conducting vehicle safety checks and reporting issues
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
  • Using delivery apps and mobile devices for PODs and updates
  • Providing excellent customer service on delivery routes
  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift (RTITB accredited)
  • Replenishing and rotating stock
  • Accurate checking in and out of deliveries
  • Maintaining a tidy, safe, and efficient warehouse
  • Assisting with stock takes and inter-departmental stock movements
  • Manual handling and lifting boxes up to 25kg
  • Supporting other departments and sites when required
Hours

The hours of work are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
