Warehouse Operative - Permanent Position

Location: Bristol

Contract: Full time, permanent

Salary: £27,000 per year

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 (rotating)

Start date: As soon as possible

About the Role

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a Warehouse Operative for their Bristol site. This is a permanent, full time position offering long-term security, development opportunities and a supportive workplace culture.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the warehouse. You will be responsible for handling goods from intake through to dispatch, moving and scanning materials, and loading or unloading vehicles using a forklift.

This role is well suited to someone with experience in warehouse or logistics operations who is organised, adaptable and enjoys working in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Handle goods efficiently from intake through to dispatch
  • Load and unload vehicles using a forklift
  • Scan, pick and move metal sheets and plates across the site
  • Accurately check and record stock movements
  • Maintain a safe and organised working environment
  • Support colleagues to ensure production and delivery targets are achieved
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Skills and Experience Required
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience desirable
  • Forklift operation skills (licence preferred, but training may be provided)
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptable, reliable and able to work as part of a team
  • Awareness of health and safety standards in a warehouse environment
