Corporate Tax professionals in a top 10 Accountancy Practice in Hertford! The firm offers great flexibility and work/life balance as well as a strong platform for growth with the opportunity to work on a varied mixed portfolio of clients with a strong SME focus.

This is an opportunity to escape the intense and sometimes toxic London work culture, whilst still being in a workplace with access to reputable clients and easily commutable to London if required. You'll work closely with the Head of Tax for the firm's Southern Region, receiving expert training and mentorship from the best there is to offer!

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be working collaboratively within the corporate tax team to deliver high standard work and manage a portfolio of clients ranging from SMEs to Large Corporates. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Compliance Management: Overseeing various compliance matters to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Advisory: Involvement within advisory projects from the start, regardless of level.
• Client Liaison: Acting as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their business developments, and maintaining strong relationships.
• Legislative Updates: Keeping clients informed about compliance obligations and legislative changes, helping them assess impacts and identify new opportunities.
• Tax Review: Reviewing tax returns and computations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

Senior level candidates will potentially be ATT qualified and studying CTA or ACA qualified and open to CTA. Those at Manager level and above would require or be open to studying the CTA.

Additional requirements include:

• Previous experience in corporate or mixed tax within practice.
• Experience and knowledge of tax issues affecting SMEs.
