A local government authority in Luton seeks a Corporate Director to lead initiatives across Housing, Adult Social Care, and Public Health. This role is crucial for shaping policies and ensuring services meet community needs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in strategic management and partnership working. The position offers a salary of £137,600 - £150,682 with additional benefits.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Corporate Director will provide leadership across a diverse portfolio including Housing, Adult Social Care, Public Health, and Customer & Organisational Development. This role is central to delivering the Council’s ambitious 2040 vision: a town where residents live happy and healthy lives, and businesses thrive in a vibrant economy. No one lives in poverty.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic direction, drive innovation, and lead transformation across the organisation. You will work collaboratively with elected members, senior officers, and external partners to ensure that services are responsive, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of Luton’s diverse communities. You will also play a key role in shaping policy, securing funding, and delivering high-performing services that meet statutory obligations.
