Job description

We are seeking a Cook with a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or above, to support the Head Cook in the planning, preparation and service of meals that are both nutritionally balanced and nourishing for the residents.

Rate of Pay: £14.30 per hour

Contract Type: Permanent - Part-time

Contract Hours: 33 Hours

Location: St Albans - Tara's Retreat

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support with compiling seasonal menus with the input of residents, families and the Home Manager that are varied and suitable for residents, taking into account backgrounds, culture and dietary requirements.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of excellence in relation to meal times and dining room / mealtime experience and presentation.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygienic appearance of the kitchen and be accountable for food standards and meeting health & safety regulations, ensuring that all practices are of a high standard and monitored.
Essential Skills, Characteristics and Experience
  • Must hold a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or above.
