A leading education services provider in Shrivenham is seeking a Chef/Cook to join their new school for autistic children. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals, menu planning, and ensuring high hygiene standards. We are recruiting for a Chef/Cook to join us in opening a new school for autistic children and young people. Aspris Ridgeway School will be a centre of autism expertise and excellence, educating up to 60 pupils aged 7‑19 with identified autism needs and in receipt of an EHCP. In this role, you will be responsible for the cooking within the school as well as the menu planning, shopping and adhering to set budgets within the school to deliver healthy, varied and nutritious diets for young people and the staff within the school. In addition, be responsible for ensuring that the kitchen and associated areas are kept to a high standard of hygiene, including food and equipment storage.
You will ideally have a Level 1 certificate in Food, Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering and a valid food hygiene certificate, although training can be provided if needed.
