Job Overview
We are an established High Street law firm based in Stevenage , Hertfordshire. We have been providing legal services for over 40 years and have a client base which is nationwide.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Conveyancer with 3 years PQE to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and breadth of experience in freehold /leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, shared ownership sales and new build purchases . This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently, ensuring smooth transactions for our clients, while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be expected to work from our office in Stevenage a minimum of 2 days a week.

Duties

  • Manage the conveyancing process from initial instruction through to completion, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts and transfer deeds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Conduct property searches and liaise with local authorities as required.
  • Maintain an organised case management system, ensuring all documentation is filed appropriately and deadlines are met.
  • Provide exceptional client service by addressing queries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain efficient administration of files and billing to meet agreed fee earning targets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in conveyancing or a related field is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients and professionals.
  • Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in IT systems related to conveyancing processes is advantageous.
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation and communications.
