Controls Senior Manager - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Please note this position is based in London and this will be the contractual location of the successful candidate; other locations cannot be considered.

A bit about the job :

We are looking for a motivated individual to support the first line with controls assurance, bringing heightened confidence in the effectiveness of our control environment. This role involves making key decisions related to controls, often complex and with potential implications for reporting to Executive and Board levels. You will collaborate closely with Governance and Controls partners to deliver global control changes driven by strategic projects while supporting your team and line manager in meeting critical deadlines. You’ll provide challenge and guidance to Heads of Function to embed a strong risk and controls culture across teams and partner with the business to maintain an effective controls framework covering issue identification, resolution, controls testing, risk assessment and SOP governance. Maintaining strong relationships is essential even when navigating difficult conversations. You’ll also be responsible for timely issue identification, tracking remediation processes and drafting clear updates for stakeholders.

Skills and experience we’re looking for :

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACA / ACCA) and/or industry equivalent (e.g., IMC)
  • Strong understanding of risks and controls and our ORCM framework
  • Demonstrable project management skills to ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are met. This includes detailed planning and allocation of resources and taking necessary actions to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Excellent influencing style with senior management as well as all levels within the business.
  • Experience of successful reporting and MI production.
