Overview

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Control Panel Workshop Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations in our new Bradford facility. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise in control panel assembly and wiring, combined with leadership skills to mentor apprentices and ensure high-quality output.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the control panel workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
  • Assemble, wire, and test control panels for HVAC and BMS systems.
  • Train and guide apprentices, fostering their technical development and ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Conduct inspections and testing to maintain compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Implement and refine workshop processes for productivity and safety.
  • Work closely with design engineers and project managers to meet deadlines and specifications.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in control panel building, ideally within HVAC or BMS environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards.
  • Formal electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
  • Experience with PLCs, motor controls, and building automation systems.
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
