Location: Cardiff / Bristol Area (hybrid 1 day in office with travel to sites)

Salary: £50000-55000 Basic, Car or Allowance, 25 Days Holiday, 4% Pension Cont

A well-established construction contractor is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, leading people, and keeping work running smoothly from start to finish.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll oversee a portfolio of contracts, making sure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required standard while keeping financial performance on track.

Your Day-to-day Will Include
  • Managing new and ongoing contracts and ensuring compliance with specifications, quality, and safety
  • Planning materials, labour, and subcontractors to keep programmes on schedule
  • Managing costs, forecasting, valuations, and supporting invoicing through to completion
  • Keeping clients updated, agreeing variations in writing, and ensuring clear communication
  • Leading and supporting site teams, supervisors, and foremen
  • Carrying out site checks, snagging, and handovers
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, reports, and project photos
  • Building strong client relationships and passing on potential new business leads
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience managing projects within construction, or a related field
  • Good understanding of contract conditions, cost control, risk management, and programming
  • Confident working across multiple sites
  • Strong organisational skills and a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Clear communicator who can influence and support teams at all levels
  • IT literate
  • Full UK driving licence

Industry training such as SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Working at Height, or similar certificates is helpful but can be provided.
