Contract Manager - Hard Services (Facilities Management)

Location: London (Site-based, 5 days per week)

Sector: Retail / Facilities Management

Client: Global Retail Brand

Package: Up to £65k

The Role

We are working with a leading Facilities Management service provider to recruit an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the hard services delivery on a flagship contract for a well-known global retail organisation.

This is a site-based role in London, responsible for ensuring first-class operational performance across a complex, fast-paced retail environment. You will act as the key point of contact on site, leading engineers and supply chain partners while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full responsibility for the day-to-day management of hard FM services, including M&E, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance
  • On-site leadership of engineering teams and specialist subcontractors
  • Ensure statutory compliance, H&S standards and SLA/KPI performance are consistently achieved
  • Act as the primary client interface, building strong, trusted relationships with site stakeholders
  • Manage planned and reactive maintenance schedules to minimise disruption to trading environments
  • Control budgets, variations and lifecycle planning in line with contract requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and service excellence across the contract
  • Support audits, reporting and performance reviews with both internal and client teams
About You
  • Proven experience as a Contract Manager / Site Manager / Hard Services Manager within the FM sector
  • Strong background in hard services delivery, ideally within retail or other high-footfall environments
  • Solid technical understanding of M&E systems
  • Confident managing people, performance and client relationships on site
  • IOSH (or NEBOSH) desirable; relevant technical qualifications advantageous
  • Commercially aware, organised and able to operate in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment
