Contracts and Compliance Manager - Fire

Location: Ealing office base with hybrid working
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Role Overview
We are looking for a Contracts and Compliance Manager – Fire to join our dedicated Property Services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and oversight of fire safety servicing, maintenance, testing, and remediation contracts across the A2Dominion property portfolio, ensuring full compliance with statutory obligations and the highest standards of customer safety.
Key responsibilities:
Contract & Service Delivery Management
- Manage the effective delivery of all fire safety servicing, testing, maintenance, and remedial contracts
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with statutory obligations, best practice, and A2Dominion’s internal governance frameworks
- Oversee the installation of fire safety components and ensure contractors deliver against performance expectations and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with Building Services and other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and optimal customer outcomes
Financial Management & Commercial Oversight
- Maintain financial oversight of delegated fire safety workstreams (c. £3–5m)
- Monitor and control expenditure to ensure budgets and KPIs are achieved
- Contribute to financial planning processes, identify variances, and take corrective action where necessary to protect budgetary performance
Performance Monitoring & Data Integrity
- Ensure the accuracy of all contract-related data, including asset information, financial metrics, and compliance KPIs
- Maintain contract records and evidence logs in accordance with the Golden Thread principles for audit and assurance purposes
Compliance, Risk & Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety legislation (e.g. RRFSO), Building Regulations, and internal H&S standards
- Monitor risk areas, elevate compliance concerns, and implement service improvements to mitigate risks
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
- Work collaboratively with internal teams across Property, Housing, Repairs, and Assets to ensure customer-focused outcomes
- Engage external stakeholders including contractors, auditors, consultants, and residents to foster trust and transparency
- Provide regular performance and compliance reports to the Senior Contract and Compliance Manager (Fire) and contribute to service planning initiatives
Service Development & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to strategies for service innovation, policy development, and procedural enhancement within the Fire Safety Team
- Drive improvements to complaint resolution processes, outstanding works tracking, and cross-team operational efficiency
More about you
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Math’s and English (Grades A*- C)
- Level 4/5 qualification (preferably in Fire related or management discipline) or relevant experience
- Commitment to undertake relevant vocational study leading to successful professional qualification
- Significant contract management experience and working with various forms of contract
- Significant experience of managing programmes of work greater than £2m
- Experience in high profile high value contract management with demonstrable performance management
- Substantial experience of providing effective customer focused services, preferably in a Fire related maintenance or repair setting
- Experience in coordinating, managing, and reporting upon contractor performance
- Knowledge and experience of procurement; developing, procuring and managing Fire Remedial delivery frameworks and direct award contracts
- Excellent IT skills including databases and Microsoft packages with the ability to analyse data, identifying risks, and producing reports from a number of systems
- Full UK driving license and access to a car
