Position Summary

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across warehouse functions by identifying performance gaps, reducing waste, improving workflow efficiency, and enhancing productivity. This role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Technical, and Leadership teams to implement Lean methodologies, optimize processes, and support sustainable performance improvement initiatives across the facility.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & CI Strategy
  • Lead the development and execution of a Continuous Improvement (CI) roadmap aligned with warehouse KPIs and business objectives.
  • Evaluate end-to-end warehouse processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and Kaizen methodologies to reduce waste and improve operational flow.
Performance Management
  • Monitor operational metrics (productivity, accuracy, throughput, labour utilization, cost per unit, service levels).
  • Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for performance issues and develop corrective action plans.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions and process maps to support operational consistency.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to define performance targets and track progress against weekly and monthly KPIs.
Project Leadership
  • Manage CI projects from assessment to implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and goals are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workshops, Kaizen events, and employee engagement sessions to drive adoption of best practices.
  • Document and present findings, results, and ROI of CI initiatives to senior leadership.
Technology & Automation Optimization
  • Evaluate warehouse technologies (WMS, labour management systems, automation, scanning tools) to ensure functionality and alignment with performance goals.
  • Support implementation and integration of new systems, dashboards, digital tools, and automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and operational teams to improve system workflows and reduce process bottlenecks.
Training & Culture Building
  • Train supervisors, leads, and associates on Lean principles, problem-solving tools, and standard work.
  • Promote a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement across all warehouse teams.
  • Facilitate performance coaching and influence behaviour change to support new processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 3-7+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or manufacturing improvement roles.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive insights.
  • Proficiency with WMS/LMS systems, data visualization tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and change-management skills.
