Why PlayStation?

PlayStation isn't just the Best Place to Play - it's also the Best Place to Work. Today, we're recognized as a global leader in entertainment producing The PlayStation family of products and services including PlayStation5, PlayStation4, PlayStationVR, PlayStationPlus, acclaimed PlayStation software titles from PlayStation Studios, and more. PlayStation also strives to create an inclusive environment that empowers employees and embraces diversity. We welcome and encourage everyone who has a passion and curiosity for innovation, technology, and play to explore our open positions and join our growing global team. The PlayStation brand falls under Sony Interactive Entertainment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation.

Role Overview:

The Global Marketing Sales and Business Operations (GMSBO) team brings together staff from around the world, with a passion for engaging gamers with PlayStation's extraordinary products and services. GMSBO teams are located in countries across the globe, balancing local relevance with a global perspective. Across our Direct to Consumer, Channel Partners, and Services business, our teams work cross-functionally to bring the best of the PlayStation experience to markets and channels around the world.

We're looking for a dynamic, skilled, and highly motivated Associate Manager to join the PlayStation Services team that runs PlayStation Plus - the world's largest game subscription service with over 47M subscribers (as of March 2023). This is a unique opportunity to work in a high-functioning team that drives significant impact for players, our partners, and PlayStation, in a fun, fast-paced environment. This role requires a mix of commercial acumen, being comfortable working with data, excellent storytelling, and a proven ability to balance a diverse range of projects and responsibilities. The right person for this role will enjoy thinking critically to solve complex problems, while specializing in sharing insights through clear and presentable formats. You'll analyze the performance of games that form our proposition, and support in optimizing our spend by improving our predictive ability and content valuation process.

What you'll be doing:

  • The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced global team to identify the games that power PlayStation Plus by combining internal and external data sources with industry knowledge.

  • Tracking performance of games and presenting key information and trends to inform our content policies & content acquisition strategy.

  • Perpetually improving our predictive ability by comparing actual performance to forecast, then exploring the variances to understand key drivers and recommend modeling improvements.

  • Serving as a conduit between Content Acquisitions & Insights to deliver professional external-facing documents that educate and build trust with our partners.

  • Optimizing spend on content by reviewing Return On Investment for all games on the Service and sharing insightful takeaways in easily digestible formats.

  • Supporting a multi-million $ content budget by establishing agreed parameters, identifying target titles, tracking spend, and improving the value of each individual deal.

  • Closely collaborating with internal teams - including Content Acquisition, Finance, Insights, Content Strategy, and Content Operations, among others.

What we're looking for:

  • At least 5 years' experience in relevant roles - such as planning & performance, commercial trading, content strategy or finance - ideally within the gaming, entertainment or subscription service industries.

  • Skillset to efficiently analyze, interpret and present complex insights in a clear and actionable manner to relevant stakeholders.

  • Capacity to adapt quickly and balance multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a persistent attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • An extraordinary teammate who can identify and cultivate key internal relationships.

  • Experience in high performing teams, ideally in an international or remote working structure.

  • Comfort with working flexible hours, often outside of normal business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of digital gaming landscape, key players, and competitive offerings.

  • Knowledge of subscription business and metrics.

Benefits:

  • Discretionary bonus opportunity.

  • Hybrid Working (within Flexmodes).

  • Private Medical Insurance.

  • Dental Scheme.

  • 25 days holiday per year.

  • On Site Gym.

  • Subsidised Café.

  • Free soft drinks.

  • On site bar.

  • Access to cycle garage and showers.
