A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Content Designer for a hybrid role based in Greater London. This position involves creating user-centred content and improving digital experiences across various services. We are seeking skilled and motivated Content Designers to join our team on an initial three-month temporary contract. This is a service-facing role, offering the opportunity to work across a wide range of services within the organisation.

The role is well suited to individuals with experience in local government or similar complex organisational environments, though this experience is beneficial rather than essential.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a central role in creating and improving user-centred content that meets accessibility and GDS service standards. Working closely with UX designers, researchers, service areas, and product teams, you will help shape high-quality digital experiences for users.

Key Skills & Experiences
  • Ability to develop clear, user-centred content strategies aligned with GDS service standards.
  • Experience creating accessible, compelling content including online forms, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • Skilled in structuring and optimising information architecture to improve usability and service performance.
  • Ability to interpret and apply UX artefacts such as user flows, wireframes, and low-FI prototypes.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and common content management systems (CMS).
