Garfield Smith - Technology & Data Lawyers are a leading UK boutique firm of solicitors providing legal services to clients using, developing, selling and investing in technology and technology businesses. Our clients range from global multinationals to early stage start-ups.

Role Description

We're looking for a number of experienced consultants to join and support our client facing full time team. The roles available are in the following areas:

  • Corporate Finance (Early stage investment - Seed to Series C+, M&A and corporate governance)

The roles are entirely flexible. Hours can be between 10 - 50 hours a week depending on the consultant's availability. Consultants can work entirely remotely (either from the UK or outside) or can come into our offices in the City of London. Consultants will work directly with one of our client manager solicitors and so will usually not have client contact.

Our hourly rates of pay are extremely competitive reflecting the high quality of work that we deliver for our clients.

We have a friendly support working culture. Many of our consultants and full time client manager solicitors have worked with us since the firm was founded in 2015.

Qualifications
  • A qualified UK solicitor or registered foreign lawyer holding a current practice certificate
  • At least ten years post-qualification experience
  • Training or significant experience in a top 15 UK or US law firm
  • Experience in the technology or data industry sectors is a plus but not necessarily required
