A leading healthcare provider is seeking a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join their integrated Mental Health team at HMP Lewes. This role involves providing clinical care and participating in strategic service direction. Ideal candidates will have GMC registration and experience in adult psychiatry. We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated Mental Health team at HMP Lewes. HMP Lewes is a busy Category B remand prison based in East Sussex. This role is based within the inpatient unit on site, where you will be completing ward rounds, hospital referrals, mental health meds prescribing, and working with another Psychiatrist and the wider multidisciplinary team to discuss patients' transition into general population.
You will be working with male patients, aged 21+, who have a range of complex mental health needs and acute trauma.
Hours: 2 sessions / 8 hours to be worked on either a Monday or Friday. 2 hours of CPD can be done on the same working day or from home.
Salary: This position is part-time, working 10 hours per week. You’ll receive an annual salary up to £180,000 FTE depending on experience.
