A leading healthcare provider is seeking a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist at HMP Lewes, working within a multidisciplinary mental health team. The position offers an annual salary up to £180,000, with 10 hours of work per week primarily on Monday or Friday. Candidates must have GMC registration and relevant specialist qualifications. This role involves delivering high-quality clinical care and participating in the strategic direction of mental health services.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated Mental Health team at HMP Lewes. HMP Lewes is a busy category B remand prison based in East Sussex. This role is based within the inpatient unit on site, where you will be completing ward rounds, hospital referrals, mental health meds prescribing, as well as working alongside another Psychiatrist and the wider multidisciplinary team to discuss patients' transition into general population. You will be working with male patients, aged 21+ who have a range of complex mental health needs and acute trauma.
