Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrists to join our healthcare team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A Prison located in South East London. The prison houses around 675 patients with a variety of needs include highly complex, and acute mental health. Within this role you will be supporting a number of high profile patients across general population and 33 bed inpatient ward. You will be joining our experienced integrated mental health team including another Psychiatrist who already works on site. We are looking for a dynamic Psychiatrist, who can be flexible in the way they work, and adapt quickly. You must be able to build a rapport with both officers and patients, as well as working along side the matrons to lead the teams. Hours 3.5 days a week / 28 hours To be worked between Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, on a job share.

You will receive an annual salary up to £196,840 per annum FTE - depending on experience. How will we support you?

• You will be part of a team of 20 plus experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatrists
• You will be able to attend monthly Consultant's meeting and 1:1 clinical supervision.
