A leading NHS organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a strategic leader in adult psychology to develop and implement psychological interventions in secondary care. The role includes managing key stakeholders, monitoring clinical performance, and ensuring evidence-based practices. Essential qualifications include a Psychology degree and HCPC registration, with significant leadership experience preferred. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Newport offering a competitive salary package.
This role is designed to provide strategic and clinical leadership for the continued development and delivery of ABUHB's adult psychology in secondary care for individuals presenting with moderate to severe levels of psychological distress and associated difficulties in functioning. This will include ensuring engagement of all key stakeholders (including and especially those with lived experience) and ensuring that appropriate governance structures are in place to enable the safe and effective implementation of highly specialist psychological interventions (including assessment and consultation) and waiting list initiatives across ABUHB.
Psychological therapies are embedded within secondary care services and, as such, there is plentiful opportunity to contribute towards the transformation of adult mental health services more broadly. This will require the capacity to understand complex systems and effective means of implementing and monitoring strategic change.
