A specialized mental health organization in Bristol is seeking a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist to lead high-quality care for patients with neuropsychiatric conditions. We are seeking an experienced full-time Consultant Neuropsychiatrist who will work at Cygnet Brunel and provide senior medical cover on Clipper Ward, our 10 bed male service for patients with brain injury and neurodegenerative conditions and Ketch Ward, our 6 bed male neuropsychiatric service focusing on Optimisation and Consolidation.
The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician and will oversee and maintain the care of all ward inpatients as required and will also have responsibility for auditing the medical services rendered at the ward and ensuring their good quality in accordance to GMC standards of good medical practice and other relevant professional guidelines.
Cygnet Brunel is our 32 bed male Neuropsychiatric hospital offering care and treatment for those affected by an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
The hospital with Triangle of Care Accredited CQC Good “soon to be outstanding”, supports the Level 1 Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation pathway for the South West and as such accommodates Level 1 & 2a patients across all of the wards; focusing on the service users individual needs in order to prioritize the ward location. Our specialist neuropsychiatric care and treatment service in Bristol is also rated Outstanding by Headway, the Brain Injury Association.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life‑changing treatment fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first‑class multidisciplinary team including qualified nurses, psychologist and occupational therapist.
