Job summary

A leading healthcare institution in Barnsley is seeking a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist to join a progressive team in South Yorkshire. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in consolidating existing services while developing further according to national guidelines. Qualifications

  • Full GMC registration is mandatory for this role.
  • MRCOG or equivalent qualification is required.
  • CCT or an equivalent qualification must be held.
  • Candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of anticipated CCT date.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Consolidate and develop maternity and gynecology services.
  • Manage and supervise junior medical staff.

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is lookingto recruit a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist. An exciting opportunity hasarisen to join a friendly and forward thinking obstetrics and gynaecology teamin a successful Trust in South Yorkshire. It is anticipated that the successfulcandidate, with the support of the new Gynaecology and Maternity MedicineNetwork, will help consolidate current services as well as developing furtherservices in line with the national maternity plan and Saving Babies Lives V3.The postholder will also have the opportunity to develop their skills in aspecialist interest if so desired. This special interest can be in eitherobstetrics or gynaecology and can be discussed at interview.
