Overview

Wates Residential are looking for a Construction Manager to join our Southern team in Brighton. Reporting to the Project Director you will supervise a large-scale project to deliver new homes to the local area. Wates Residential is a developer contractor; we invest, develop, build and sell quality affordable housing, either contracting or in a form of partnership with Local Authorities, Registered Providers and public bodies, such as Homes England. About the role Our Construction Managers are a valuable part of our business. The focus of this role will be to provide visible leadership, insight, direction and foresight in the safe and profitable delivery of schemes, while also providing excellent customer satisfaction and successfully develop a team. As our Construction Manager you will:

  • Define clear project or programme outcomes as part of the Project Business Plan and review progress. Manage programme efficiently, ensuring high quality, and full control of costs/budgets.
  • Evaluate project outcomes and provide feedback on the results to the team and wider business.
  • Demonstrate absolute commitment and leadership in all aspects of HS&E ensuring best practice is adopted.
  • Develop and ensure that a clear strategy is mapped out and communicated to the team on how the project will be delivered on time.
