Salary £95K‑£115k+Package (DOE)

Location: North west (UK Travel)

My client is a large‑scale property contractor that specialises in large scale construction projects. They deliver both build‑to‑rent and student accommodation projects in and around £100 million.

Due to continued expansion, they require a Construction Director to join them. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced operational manager who will coordinate multiple teams around the UK.

As Construction Director you will manage all project managers, ensuring that all their site projects run to the time‑scales and budget levels set.

As an excellent leader, you will have proven experience leading successful managers delivering design and build projects. You will come from a developer or main contracting background, with experience delivering multiple projects around £20 million to £30 million. Experience delivering high‑rise buildings over 20 storeys is key for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Providing accurate and timely project performance reports, ensuring projects are on track and contract requirements are met.
  • Providing solutions to any highlighted areas of concern.
  • Leading on all construction aspects of the division's work.
  • Providing strategic and professional guidance to the Contracts Managers, Project Managers and members of the team.
  • Working collaboratively with the project teams and subcontractors, building strong and trusted working relationships.
  • Developing team capabilities and shaping the future strategy.
  • Progress reports to senior board‑level management.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Professional qualification and previous management experience.
  • Good knowledge of computers including Spreadsheet, Word and Astra (Power Project).
  • Experience working on high‑rise developments.
  • Construction detailing/programming experience.
  • Value engineering.

My client operates nationally, so travel to sites as and when required will be necessary for the role.

As well as a competitive salary package, the client offers extensive benefits including discretionary annual bonus, discounted gym memberships, exclusive shopping discounts, a healthcare cashback scheme and a 7 % contributory pension scheme.
