• Experience working in utilities, drainage, tunnels, infrastructure, or similar environments.
• Additional certifications such as First Aid, CSCS, or Rescue qualifications are advantageous.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake non-standard and high-risk confined space entries in compliance with Level 3 requirements.
• Lead and support confined space operations including emergency rescue readiness.
• Set up, inspect, and maintain all confined space equipment, including gas monitors, escape sets, winches, and tripod systems.
• Complete risk assessments, method statements, permits-to-work, and all relevant documentation.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, safety personnel, and project managers to ensure safe site operations.
• Identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and adhere to all H&S regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• City & Guilds Confined Spaces Level 3 (High Risk) certification - essential.
• Strong understanding of confined space legislation, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Experience working in utilities, drainage, tunnels, infrastructure, or similar environments.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in challenging environments.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Additional certifications such as First Aid, CSCS, or Rescue qualifications are advantageous.
