Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (or equivalent).
  • A relevant degree in Computing (or related discipline).
  • Experience teaching Programming (Python, C) and Games engines (Unity, Unreal).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
  • Teaching qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver up to 24 hours of teaching per week.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess modules across Levels 2–6.
  • Create high-quality learning materials.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to learners.
  • Work collaboratively with programme leaders.

The Supply Register is seeking a Computing Lecturer to deliver engaging teaching in Programming (Python, C) Games engines (Unity, Unreal) Databases (access, PhpMyAdmin) at Newcastle College. This full-time temporary role is an excellent opportunity to support learners from Level 2 up to Level 6 and contribute to their academic and career development in computing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver up to 24 hours of teaching per week
  • Plan, deliver, and assess modules across Levels 2–6.
  • Create high-quality learning materials to support student engagement.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to learners.
  • Work collaboratively with programme leaders to support course management.
