Job summary

A secondary education recruiter is seeking an experienced Computer Science Teacher to join a Tower Hamlets school. The successful candidate will primarily teach KS3 from January to June 2026, with potential for extension. Responsibilities include lesson planning, teaching, marking, and attending parents' evenings. Candidates must have QTS, ideally 2-3 years of UK teaching experience, and solid classroom management skills. Competitive daily rate of £165 - £265 offered based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a Computer Science Teacher in Tower Hamlets!

We are seeking an experienced Computer Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Tower Hamlets. The role will be to teach KS3 only, starting in January 2026 - June 2026 in the first instance (possibly extended to July depending on how many classes we have left on site). This will include planning, teaching, marking, data and 2 parents evenings as well as CPD on a fortnightly Wednesday (as part of directed time).

Start Date: January 2026 - June 2026 in the first instance (possibly extended to July)
Salary: £165 - £265 per day (depending on qualification & experience)

NOTE: QTS is a must for this role
Experience Required
:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • At least 2-3 years of UK-based teaching experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Commitment to a full-time, long-term role
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A valid DBS registered on the update service.
  • 2-3 professional references covering a minimum of 2-3 years of employment history.
  • Must be available for an immediate interview and start date.
