Job summary

A leading educational recruitment agency is seeking a Computer Science Teacher for a high-performing school in Crewe. The role focuses on delivering engaging lessons in computer science across KS3 and KS4. Ideal candidates will have a PGCE or equivalent and experience in teaching, though Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply. This full-time position is initially long-term until July 2026, with potential for a permanent role in September. Competitive daily rates based on experience will be offered.

Computer Science Teacher - Crewe (Long Term Contract)

Location: Crewe, Cheshire

Start date: February 2026

Contract: Full-time, Long-term Temporary (initially until end of summer term)

Daily rate: £160 – £233 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Overview

Academics Ltd is recruiting a Computer Science Teacher for a high‑performing 11‑18 mixed comprehensive school rated “Good” by Ofsted. The role will teach across KS3 and KS4, and the school will also consider applicants able to teach IT only.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging computer science lessons for KS3 and KS4 pupils.
  • Develop curriculum and resources that promote digital literacy and computational thinking.
  • Maintain high behaviour expectations and support positive pupil relationships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the department to share best practice.
  • Contribute to continuous professional development and participate in school meetings.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Qualified teacher with a PGCE or equivalent, or a substantial, demonstrable interest in computer science teaching.
  • Experience of teaching KS3/KS4, or a willingness to develop rapidly in a new area.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
Contract Duration

February 2026 – July 2026, with the possibility of a permanent role for September.
