Overview

The Component Design Engineer is part of the Global Mechanical Systems Capability function. The engineer shall create engineering solutions that satisfy functional and physical requirements at the Product System and Sub-System level, with robustness for manufacturing capability. The engineer is responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of component design definition artefacts (documents, models, definitions) that meet system level and sub-system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering solutions that satisfy functional and physical requirements for Product System and Sub-System level environments, with robustness for manufacturing capability.
• Ensure on-time delivery and quality of component design definition artefacts (documents, models, definitions) that meet system level and sub-system requirements.
• Participate within an IPT described by Product Lifecycle System (PLS) and operate in accordance with applicable Rolls-Royce Management System (RRMS) policies and processes.
• Be responsible for sub-system integration of the technical activities for their design solutions and enable lifecycle profitability through the Supply Chain Design.
