Compliance Officer – Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience) • Location: Liverpool City Centre • Type: Full‑time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct full Customer Due Diligence (CDD) on new customers, including risk profiling, documentation assessment and identity verification.
• Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for low‑to‑high risk marketing activities, conducting deeper investigations into the customer journey to identify patterns or unusual behaviour.
• Ensure all Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) requirements are fully met in line with regulatory standards and internal procedures.
• Support design and execution of the company’s mystery shopper programme to assess quality and compliance of customer interactions.
• Support development and refinement of compliance frameworks, risk assessment tools and monitoring processes.

About You

• Minimum of 3 years in compliance, due diligence, customer management or financial crime roles.
• Strong understanding of compliance‑related systems, including KYC, data protection and customer conduct regulations.
• Awareness of risk‑based approaches and customer service compliance issues.
• Confident communicator able to work with non‑finance stakeholders.
