How you will create an impact

Focused on Casualty this role is an ideal opportunity to develop your expertise in handling and investigating complex claims.

The role will provide exposure and opportunity to apply your expertise and develop knowledge of handling high value and / or complex claims to a value of $500k.

You will proactively deal with claims in accordance with best practice guidelines which are central to AIGs quality standards you will have a client centric mindset focused upon ensuring optimal total cost and outcome of claims.

Your work will involve regular contact with internal stakeholders and brokers experts and external will be responsible for acting as a mentor to junior members of staff to support with their technical development.

This will be a dynamic role you will work closely with the Casualty management team focused upon continuous improvement you will assist with and on occasions lead key operational and strategic initiatives

In addition you will use your claims expertise to support the feedback loop to key stakeholders and our culture of underwriting excellence

What youll need to succeed

Candidates should be able to demonstrate extensive experience in handling Casualty EL / GL claims. This includes a strong understanding of the end-to-end claims procedures. A customer centric mindset is critical.

Detailed knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment within which such claims are handled.

Proven ability to make an accurate and timely decision

Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.

Lateral thinking and the ability to problem solve and develop new ideas to improve working practices.

You will have strong desire to support a key aim of continuous improvement identify opportunities and contribute to effective solutions.

Strong communication time management administrative and report-writing skills.
