Company Secretarial Assistant – Insurance

An insurance giant seeks a motivated and driven candidate with experience working in a Company Secretarial or Governance function to join their team of 3. They offer flexible working, a supportive team and growth and development plans from day one.

The role
  • Support in the provision of effective Board and Committee support, including proactively managing meeting schedules, assisting in the annual agenda planning process, preparation of agendas, collation, and timely distribution of meeting packs, and maintaining accurate action logs.
  • Attendance at and taking minutes of subsidiary Board meetings.
  • Maintenance of statutory registers and minute books for all Group companies.
  • Support in Board and Committee Effectiveness Reviews.
  • Assisting with governance projects.
  • Support the management of delegated authorities, including assisting in the maintenance of the Levels of Authority Policy, as well as group-wide powers of attorney.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of the Company Secretarial policy universe.
  • Respond to ad-hoc information requests / regulatory information requests / auditor requests.
  • Support the Annual Report & Accounts process.
Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral, with experience communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organized self-starter – able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated – Takes an enthusiastic approach and is able to work under own initiative without need for close supervision to achieve results.
  • Willing to learn and strives for continuous improvement
