Overview

Mencap is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers (drivers required) to join our team in Long Eaton. You will work with a diverse group of people with learning disabilities, assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support. This community-based service operates 7 days per week from 07:00 to 20:00.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily activities
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Maintain client safety and wellbeing
  • Support clients during transportation
Qualifications
  • Passion for supporting others with learning disabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ability to build meaningful relationships
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Positive and empathetic attitude
  • Valid driving licence and ability to drive for the role
Contract options
  • Part-time: 17.5 hours per week, flexible hours based on availability
  • Part-time: 20 hours per week, flexible hours based on availability
  • Permanent/Fixed term contracts only.
