Overview

Stoneywood Care Services provides a high-level quality of care and support for many people with a variety of needs in Cumbernauld and surrounding areas. We engage with all supported people to encourage and empower them to achieve their chosen outcomes.

Vacancy

We are looking for enthusiastic experienced social care workers to join a team who motivate each other to provide the best possible service to all supported people in their own homes. Two vacancies are available.

Compensation & Hours

The starting rate is £12.60 per hour. Contract hours would be discussed further at interview as these could be variable depending on shift pattern and service user needs.

Candidate Profile

An ideal candidate should hold SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare qualification, be a team player, sensitive to the evolving needs of individuals and colleagues, remain calm under pressure, have experience managing behaviour that constitutes stress and distress, have strong communication skills to motivate other people and an empathetic personality.

Qualifications & Experience

Professional qualifications are highly desirable; however, the right candidates will be supported to complete these throughout their career with us. It is desirable that applicants have experience working in a care and support environment, however all essential training will be given during induction.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities would include ensuring you follow the supported persons support plan and related documents, prompting medication, helping with necessary tasks which include personal care, promoting independent living within the local community and supporting individual outcome achievements.

Additional Requirements & Information

The successful candidate must be able and willing to support service users in their own cars, therefore having a driving licence is essential for this role. We will require an update/registration of Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme to work with vulnerable adults and will need to ensure compliance with SSSC registration.
