A leading community health service provider in the United Kingdom is seeking candidates to empower families and support children's health. The role involves working with diverse communities, facilitating group sessions, and advocating for families facing barriers. Whilst posts are available across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire successful candidates will be required to be flexible to work within and across a defined locality.
Work in partnership with parents/carers to understand the developmental needs of their child, including the importance of the home learning environment, and early brain development, enabling all children to be ready to learn at transition to school.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, cultural sensitivity, resilience, and adaptability when working in diverse community settings. Empowering families and advocating for those who face barriers to accessing services.
Support the implementation of the Healthy Child Programme, and specific public health programmes including Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home-visiting (MECSH) and UNICEF BFI.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with multi-agency partners, including early years settings and community organisations, to promote health and well-being, improving early identification of needs and risks to child outcomes.
Use group facilitation skills at Baby Hubs and lead structured, evidence-informed groups in community venue such as Family Hubs which supports parental confidence and self-compassion
Actively participate in supporting students of all levels through the provision of placement support, supervision, assessment, and development opportunities.
