Beyond the Bias is a community organisation dedicated to empowering young people, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, through education, career development, and wellbeing programmes. We run a variety of initiatives, including mental health workshops, work experience programmes, and skills training to support young people in achieving their goals.

We are looking for a Community Project Officer to support the delivery of our projects. This is a flexible, part-time role ideal for someone passionate about youth development, community work, and event coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and delivering community projects and events.
  • Support the coordination of workshops, mentoring sessions, and outreach initiatives.
  • Engage with young people, volunteers, and partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Help with administrative tasks such as tracking attendance, gathering feedback, and reporting on project outcomes.
  • Assist with marketing and communications, including social media updates and promotional materials.
  • Support logistics, including setting up for events and liaising with venues and suppliers.
Role Requirements
  • Must be 18 or over.
  • Passion for community work and youth empowerment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience in event planning, project coordination, or community outreach is a plus.
  • Basic IT skills (email, Microsoft Office, social media).
